The town of Iznic in Turkey was an established centre of ceramic production from the 15th to 17th centuries. The decorations on pottery and tiles incorporated Ottoman and Chinese designs, using vibrant colours and floral themes. A single tile repeated makes a wonderful wall of tiles similar to those seen in the Topkapi Palace in Istanbul.
