This design is inspired by a wonderful 'woven coverlet' of Norway. A warm, thick cover has always been important during Norway's long winter nights. These coverlets also decorated the family bedsteads in one room farmhouses, affording housewives an opportunity to display their talents. The squares of this geometric rug are typical of the 19th century Krokbragd weave. The tiles are available in other colours to suit different colour schemes.
The Norwegian Coverlet tiles measure 1ft x 1ft or 300mm x 300mm. Each rug is individually designed and can be of any size, starting from 3ft x 2ft or 3 x 2 tiles. Please contact us for more information by email to juliamoore@tilesbytextiles.com or telephone me on 01664 566147.
